London-based Ice Baths have shared “New Strappings (Pt. I)”, the first single taken from their upcoming Self-Titled LP (out May 11 via Blank Editions). It is a haunting and sharp post-punk song that shows the great strength in their uncompromising lyrics and sound.
The album doesn’t seem to be an easy record: “It was an absolute challenge, we were very picky about how to get the sound we wanted. It led us to mixing the record ourselves. We wanted the record unpolished and raw, hissy, trebly, bitty & a bit uncouth”, says Alex Ives from the band. Pre-order is available here.
