Wheelbarrel, a Columbus based trio, have just released their second EP, called Spite. It’s a a collection of 2 songs, described by the band as the record that explores and deals with the spite from two angles: toward yourself and toward others.
The sound here is very rich and unpredictable: over the course of two songs there is a lot of great experimentation with textures and song structures, at the same time keeping a very strong connection between lyrics and the music.
These components, along with the band’s reliable post-punk vibes, make a great impression and certainly a memorable listening experience.
