Bedroom pop musician Painted Forest has been out of the radar for more than a year, but thankfully he returned over the weekend with the brand new mini-album Fade In, Burn Out.
It impresses right from the beginning and instantly takes you under the blanket of warm lo-fi sensibilities and melodies. While listening it’s hard not to notice the new, a bit more expansive direction taken by the artist. The songs are more complex (sometimes even heavier), unpredictable but still extremely charming at the same time.
Painted Forest is growing impressively as a songwriter and musician, and we already cannot wait for more.
