Lilla Parasit is an indie supergroup out of Sweden, which is led by Are Engen Steinsholm from the band Melby, joined by Amanda Lindgren (Systraskap), David Svedmyr (Me and My Kites) and Jessica Klingsell.
This week they have unleashed a debut mini LP via Rama Lama Records, a fine and catchy record which mastefully blends psychedelic pop hooks with lo-fi folk.
Released during the hard times, Are describes Lilla Parasit as an album that reflects the themes of neoliberalism and the consumer society we live in, mixed with some personal stories.
