Greatly titled KOMPROMAT is a fantastic return from Leeds band I LIKE TRAINS, who covered a lot of topics on the album by analyzing how the world has changed during recent years. It has been a while since the previous LP The Shallows, but the timing for the new release couldn’t be more suitable.
Shifting deeper towards the post-punk direction, it is an urgent and dark record, which drowns the listener in the gloomy atmosphere of universal disaster. Every song is brimming with clever lyrics, beautiful instrumentation, hooks and remarkable, haunting vocals, delivered by the lead singer David Martin.
