The eponymous debut LP from Lucid Express (fka Thud) is lush, glimmering, and just beautiful. Even though their sound is not groundbreaking, the truth is still very simple — you don’t have to be super innovative or reinvent the wheel to create something this delightful.
Hong Kong five-piece masterfully crafts their take on shoegaze on this consistent, accessible collection of ten songs, none of which is a filler. Some of them will definitely find their way into playlists for garden parties or mild nights on the beach this summer.
