Legendary Lawrence has been delivering great tunes for us over the years with Felt, Denim and Go-Kart Mozart. Looks like he is not planning to stop anytime soon, and last Friday he unveiled a new project — Pop-Up! Ker-Ching! And The Possibilities Of Modern Shopping, released this time under the moniker Mozart Estate.
Described by Lawrence himself as an album about consumerism and shopping, it is an eccentric, smart and extremely catchy collection of 16 songs. It would definitely appeal to anyone who liked the previous 4 Go-Kart Mozart LPs, but even if it would be your first Lawrence experience there is a huge chance that you will become a fan right away.
It is also mentioned that he would be touring throughout this year, so fingers crossed that we would also have a chance to see him live somewhere in Europe (which is something that is extremely rare).
Listen below and buy the album here, out now on Lawrence’s West Midlands Records, a subsidiary of Cherry Red.
