[video] Moreish Idols – Nocturnal Creatures

South London’s Moreish Idols have a new song out, and it seems that they have drifted a bit away from the thick post-punk sound that accompanied their debut EP Float last year. “Nocturnal Creatures” was again recorded with Dan Carey of Speedy Wunderground and is paired with a brilliant self-directed music video.

In the song band members present themselves in a softer and more melodic way. And although their music is still replete with an abundance of all kinds of sounds, it is easy to distinguish two leading lines in it — the voices of the musicians merge in unison, and the saxophone chirps in the background like a bird trying to duplicate every spoken word.

True, it should be noted that in a world overflowing with fabulous nocturnal creatures, there is no place for the sun, which means that the track atmosphere leaves behind a feeling of mystery and magic. It’s interesting to see what Moreish Idols will bring us next.
