[album] ERRORR – Self Destruct

Self Destruct is a debut full-length release from Berlin-based outfit ERRORR, which was founded by Leonard Kaage, Swedish multi-instrumentalist also known as the producer and guitar player of The Underground Youth.

Despite forming only a couple of years ago, the group is already well-known for their lo-fi and psychedelic noise pop sound that draws inspiration from garage rock, shoegaze, and post-punk. Just recently the album has been highlighted on Shindig Magazine by Anton Newcombe as one of his Top 10 tips for 2023, who after seeing their last show invited them to support The Brian Jonestown Massacre.

The collection is an excellent example of ERRORR’s ability to blend different genres seamlessly, with elements of punk, pop, and psychedelic rock all present in the songs. Brilliantly produced, it creates a mood and builds real tension through the music with the raw, unpolished feel that gives the tracks a sense of urgency and immediacy.

ERRORR will unveil a new album Self Destruct on March 3 via Anomic Records (pre-order it here). It would be a debut release for the Berlin-based outfit, which was founded by Leonard Kaage; the Swedish multi-instrumentalist also known as the producer and guitar player of The Underground Youth.

We have already heard a steady run of new songs — “Innocent”, “SIXXX”, “Deep Blue” and more, and now the group shares a last single before the LP release, “Makeshift Happy”, which continues the band’s exploration of dreamy and shoegaze-inflected noise pop music.

It comes together also with the tour announcement, which is scheduled between April and June throughout Europe. It will include four shows in Italy, as per the below:

May 13 – Secret Garden, Venezia
May 14 – Ozne, Prato
May 15 – Nowhere Club, Modena
May 16 – Arci Dallò, Castiglione delle Stiviere

[video] Haus Band – She Belongs To Me

Great news — we will get a full album of Bob Dylan covers from Art Brut’s Eddie Argos before the end of the year. He formed a new band, Haus Band, together with his neighbours Olga Karatzioti-B. and Leonard Kaage.

The first taste from the record is “She Belongs To Me”, which was released yesterday for Dylan’s 80th birthday via Alcopop! and Anomic Records together with the music video, directed & filmed by the group’s Olga Karatzioti-B.
