If you like your pop music weird, Cheater by Pom Poko is an album for you.
Experimental, inventive, chaotic and yet quite accessible, the new LP shows the Norwegian band at top form, making uniquely structured, at times surreal and smart songs, that are full of hooks and unexpected turns.
Contact, the third album of London quartet Landshapes, is full of suprises. It is a shape-shifting record that makes it impossible for listeners to predict the next move of the band, or at least a melody or trajectory of the next track.
Throughout ten songs, the group experiments with song structures, while mixing different genres and establishing connections between instumental elements & vocals. Most importantly, the end result sounds very cohesive, natural and vital. An essential listen.

The title track from the EP is an euphoric 7-minute psychedelic pop jam and the other new one “Yours. To Be” is a beautiful and touching little song that gets stuck in your head immediately. Despite being so different both of them fit together perfectly well.
