Last year UK trio Pale Blue Eyes released their outstanding LP Souvenirs (via Full Time Hobby) and now they are following it up with the brand new single “More”.
It continues exactly where the band left off on their album and provides some extra of what they do best — krauty and dreamy shoegaze pop music for our listening pleasure.
On September 2 Pale Blue Eyes will release their new LP Souvenirs (through Full Time Hobby) and now they are sharing a video for the latest single “Little Gem”, a lovely piece directed by Dylan Friese-Green and Aubrey Simpson. It captures the band on the road, crammed into a Nissan Micra, cruising through the English countryside.
The UK-based trio Pale Blue Eyes will release their debut album Souvenirs on September 2 via Full Time Hobby (pre-order it here).
We have already heard a steady run of new songs — “Globe”, “TV Flicker”, “Dr Pong”, and now the band shares a fourth single, “Star Vehicle”. It is a cheerful, dreamy, and upbeat number, which makes us even more excited about their upcoming LP.
It is always a real thrill to find such a great new band as Pale Blue Eyes. The trio debuted last year with their brilliant double A-side single “Motionless” / “Chelsea”, and now they are announcing their signing with Full Time Hobby.
Along with the announcement we are treated with the brand new song “TV Flicker”, an eerie and unstoppable earworm. Talking about it, singer/guitarist Matt Board says:
«At the time of my dad’s death I’d sometimes fall asleep in front of a flickering TV. It was calming to drift off to sound or background dialogue and it helped me sleep. The music and lyrics in “TV Flicker” also maybe conjure ambiguous images of 1970s Cold War décor – post-apocalyptic hideouts, a hatch leading into a lost nuclear bunker».
