[video] Black Doldrums – Sad Paradise

Black Doldrums are back with “Sad Paradise”, which serves as the first taste of their upcoming new record Dead Awake. It is a propulsive and unstoppable number that hits the sweet spot and finds the perfect balance between dark post-punk and psychedelic rock.

The album was produced by Jared Artaud (The Vacant Lots, Alan Vega) and is out March 11 via Fuzz Club.

Few musicians are as prolific as Nicholas Wood, who plays in The KVB for more than 10 years now (they have just released a fantastic new single) and also runs a side-project Saccades.

He put out a great sophomore LP Flowing Fades last year via Fuzz Club Records and keeps on supplying us with remixes for the standout singles from it. The newest one comes for the album’s title-track, done by Nottingham DJ and producer Modri, who customized it into a dancefloor-ready summer hit.

[song] Saccades – Lady Blue (Peaking Lights Remix)

Peaking Lights have given “Lady Blue” from Saccades a new treatment, converting it into a mesmerizing and dub-infused trip of a song.

The original track is taken from Flowing Fades, a brilliant sophomore LP from Nicholas Wood’s solo project, released last month via Fuzz Club.

Check out the remix below and get the track/album here.

[album] Saccades – Flowing Fades

Flowing Fades is the second Saccades album from The KVB’s Nicholas Wood, out now via Fuzz Club Records.

Despite it being probably the brightest and the most uplifting music he has ever released, the album still carries that melancholic “last day of summer” feeling and creates a pleasant escape from day-to-day life for 40 glorious minutes, packed with brilliant hooks and melodies.

Berlin-based musician Nicholas Wood aka Saccades will release a new album Flowing Fades on April 9 via Fuzz Club (pre-order it here).

We have already heard a gorgeous “Islands Past”, and now Nicholas shares a second single — hypnotic, groovy and dancey stomper “Heat”.

It comes together with the music video that you can watch below.
