[video] Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever – My Echo

Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever share a brand new single “My Echo”, which follows the previously released bops “The Way It Shatters” and “Tidal River”. Both songs are taken off their upcoming new LP Endless Rooms. It is set for release on May 6 via Sub Pop Records and Ivy League Records.

The LP is described s is a collection of songs permeated by the spirit of the place; punctuated by field recordings of rain, fire, birds, and wind. “It’s almost an anti-concept album”, says the band. “The Endless Rooms of the title reflects our love of creating worlds in our songs. We treat each of them as a bare room to be built up with infinite possibilities”.

The track is very addictive, and as usual, it features some fantastic instrumental work from the band’s triple-guitar attack and a thrilling bass bridge! It is released with a fun performance video, directed by Nick Mckk.

[album] A. Swayze & The Ghosts – Paid Salvation

Here’s an album that you need this week — Paid Salvation from Tasmanian four-piece A. Swayze & The Ghosts is just fantastic. It is a fast, rip-roaring, and smart debut from hard-working musicians who are passionate and deadly serious about what they are doing.

The unstoppable energy of the band blasts through, the hooks are irresistable and the songs such as “Suddenly” or “Connect to Consume” are simply the best pieces of garage punk we have heard this year. It would also be extremely interesting to see these rippers performed in a live setting (once it would be possible of course).

Back in March, Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever announced they were returning with a new album called Sideways to New Italy (the title is taken from the small regional town in Australia where drummer Marcel Tussie is from) via Ivy League / Sub Pop.

So far, we’ve heard several tracks from it, and now, ahead of the record arriving this Friday, the band have shared one more preview of an album, the sunny and catchy “Cameo”.
