[video] PVA – Kim

Fresh off releasing their debut album BLUSH earlier this month, South London trio PVA returns today with a stunning music video for the album’s highlight, “Kim”.

It was directed by MILTON and sees the group performing in derelict buildings, whilst glitching and freezing in place.

[song] PVA – Bunker

South London trio PVA share a brilliant and slick new single “Bunker”. Built around mesmerizing synths, throbbing bass and intense drumming, the track results in an ultra-catchy 5-minute dark disco stomper. Somewhere in the middle it climaxes into heaven with the beautiful bridge, which leads it into the euphoric ending. The dual vocals of both Ella Harris and Josh Baxter make it even more exciting.

Speaking of it, the band says: “We started playing “Bunker” almost as soon as the band started. Originally just a looped groove, it has evolved into the live track it is today through various compositions and outings live. The song tries to act as a reminder to overcome the want to chase things that ultimately lead to isolation”.

The single follows the previously released songs “Untethered”, “Hero Man” and “Bad Dad” from their upcoming and highly anticipated debut LP BLUSH (which is out October 14 via Ninja Tune). It will be available on CD, standard pink LP, limited edition blue LP (available via independent record stores), limited Dinked edition pink sparkle LP w/exclusive PVA zine, and digital formats.

During October and November, PVA will also embark on the huge EU / UK tour. Find the full list of dates and tickets/venue information on the group’s website.

[song] Folly Group – I Raise You (The Price of Your Head)

With their new EP Human and Kind arriving on March 25 via Ninja Tune imprint Technicolour, London band Folly Group are giving us the first taster of what to expect, shapeshifting and almost trance-like new single “I Raise You (The Price of Your Head)”.

Elaborating on the rack, the band said: «I Raise You (The Price of Your Head)’ is a pandemic-era role-reversal between politician and young person that poses the question: you were happy to gamble with my life, what if I were to gamble with yours?».
