British electro duo The KVB enhance their magnificent discography with another interesting item — this time they have covered 11 foundational psychedelic classics such as songs by 13th Floor Elevators, Status Quo, The Troggs, The Pretty Things and many more.
The group did Artefacts in their own distinctive style, passing famous hits through their own darkwave filter, further exploring the blend of psychedelic rock, post-punk and electronic music, with a focus on lush synth textures and driving rhythms. A brilliant collection of reinterpretations that should appeal to listeners of any age.
Last month The KVB announced they were returning with a new album called Unity (via Invada Records), which was produced and mixed by Andy Savours (Black Country New Road, My Bloody Valentine, The Horrors).
So far, we have heard several tracks from it, and now, ahead of the LP arriving this Friday, the duo shares one last preview of it, hazy and catchy “Unbound”.
It is presented together with stunning visuals directed by Sapphire Goss, that feature sound mirrors — installations, located on the coast of England and which were used to detect enemy aircraft in the past.
