[album] FACS – Present Tense

Chicago-based FACS have always had a rather heavy sound with unusual guitar structures and tricky instrument combinations. But their newest LP Present Tense seems to be their most accessible, while still being quite harsh and visceral for the unprepared listener.

On it the trio once again create their own unique post-genre world, that is full of overloaded guitars, noisy mechanics, winding rhythms and dark atmosphere of aggravating anxiety. Even during the sunny days of May the album will transport you to the underground, with the feel like you are listening to it inside the abandoned factory. Great stuff.

[video] Naked Roommate – We Are The Babies

Oakland group Naked Roommate have unleashed their latest single “We Are The Babies”, minimalistic and super danceable post-punk gem of a song. To maximize the effect it comes along with the bizarre, fun and just awesome music video, created by Elyse Schrock.

The track is taken from band’s remarkable new album Do the Duvet, out now through Upset the Rhythm in the UK and Trouble In Mind in the USA.
