Just signed to Bristol independent label Velvet Echoes (Dreamwave), psychedelic post-punk quintet Wakey Wakey Rise & Shine announced their debut EP A Good Way To Get Yourself Killed (out July 5) and shared a dynamic new single, “Backseat Driver”.
The unstoppable energy of the band blasts through the whole song, the hooks are irresistible and the track easily comes off as one the best pieces of garage punk we have heard this year. It would also be extremely interesting to hear this ripper performed in a live setting.
