Lambrini Girls performing live at Micro Festival’13, Liege’23

Back in February Lambrini Girls released an angry noise punk ripper “God’s Country”, and now they are following it up with another smasher, “Body of Mine”. Recorded with Gilla Band’s Daniel Fox, it is a song that touches on the theme of gender identity.

Speaking on the track, the group explained: “This song is about trying to connect to your gender identity, feeling like you’re not fully yourself, and struggling to figure out how to truly become it. Gender is a complex experience, we acknowledge that this song represents just one perspective among many, of not knowing where you fit inside it all. It’s tough to feel that nobody really gets you and it’s also truly quite shit when you don’t really know how to understand yourself either”.

Renowned international producer M. Vaughan makes a comeback with “Tire Swing”, the first track of his new EP Keep in Touch (set for release on June 14 via Super Tuff Records), marking a shift from the club scene to delve into the heartfelt realm of indie rock.

This transition mirrors his personal journey, grappling with the moves from Brooklyn to Berlin and then to Lisbon. The song is a pulsating anthem that ignites dancefloors with its infectious energy and dynamic beats. Seamlessly mixing elements of electro, house, and indie rock, it truly captivates listeners with its relentless rhythm. Brilliant stuff.

With his debut EP Fifteen Minutes With Spielmann arriving May 31 through EMI North/Launchpad+ (Nadine Shah, Bored At My Grandmas House, Van Houten), Leeds luminary Spielmann has unveiled another new single from it, titled “Just Like Everybody Else”.

The song is another brilliant slice of anthemic pop, characterized by catchy melodies and thoughtful lyrics. This time Spielmann takes a subtle shift towards more earnest introspection, as he explores the delicate balance between artistic expression and navigating life’s everyday challenges.

The artist is also releasing an EP in a quite unique way — on the side of a coffee bag. Collaborating with the North Star Coffee Roasters based in Leeds, Fifteen Minutes With Spielmann can be accessed via a download code found on the coffee bag.
