[video] Lambrini Girls – Boys In The Band

Lambrini Girls performing live at Micro Festival’13, Liege’23

In May Lambrini Girls released their outstanding debut EP You’re Welcome, and now they are sharing a new music video for the mini-album’s opener, an angry noise punk ripper “Boys In The Band”. The visuals have an important message and the pair has the following to say about it:

“We’ve been planning the release of this music video for a while and the recent events in the media just confirmed its relevance further. Our song, Boys in the Band- is about SA and abuse in the music scene. The recent influx of conversations of abuse culture, comes down to another bombshell revelation in pop culture when another celebrity turns out to be a nonce. However, we need to be shouting about this constantly. Opening conversations about abuse culture is appropriate, all the time because this happens, all the time”.

Alongside the track, Lambrini Girls release a limited edition longsleeve priced at £30 with 100% of the profits going to Refuge, Rape Crisis, and Safeline charities.

Today, San Francisco’s Spiritual Cramp share the third single “Better Off This Way” from their debut self-titled album, which is out November 3 via Blue Grape Music (the band already teased us with “Herberts On Holiday” and “Talkin’ On The Internet” a bit earlier). It is a fun and loud punk song that is released alongside an absolutely epic music video, directed by Sean Stout.

In the cinematic visuals, the band members act as Guy Ritchie-esque characters as they chase one another through the warehouses and canyons of LA, trying to take possession of a mysterious suitcase. It also features a friend of the band Ian Shelton of another great band, Militarie Gun.

Tex Crick shares the final preview of his forthcoming new album Sweet Dreamin’ (due out this Friday on Mac’s Record Label). Titled “Silly Little Things”, it is a super pleasant tune for the ear and probably one of his most mellow offerings so far.

The track is accompanied by a music video directed and shot by Luke Casey on the outskirts of Tokyo.

Along with the news they are sharing a new single/video “Looking Back”, a dark, melodic and extremely well-crafted track that features driving rhythms, emotive vocals, and an urgent message about the importance of not wasting time, our most finite resource on an individual level.
