[video] Charly Bliss – Calling You Out

Earlier this month Charly Bliss announced their new LP FOREVER, which will be out on August 16 via Lucky Number. We already heard “Nineteen”, and now the group presents another new single/video “Calling You Out”, an anthemic track that exemplifies the essence of a guitar-pop hit.

It balances the infectious energy and edge of rock music with the polished, hook-laden structure of pop and is accompanied by a video directed by Adam Kolodny, which draws inspiration from the Beastie Boys’ 1989 “Shake Your Rump” music video and Wong Kar-wai’s 1995 film Fallen Angels.

Glasgow’s queer quintet Walt Disco announced their new LP The Warping which will be out on June 14 via Lucky Number. They are releasing a new single and video titled “You Make Me Feel So Dumb” in addition to sharing the news.

Drawing inspiration from the exhaustion of socializing during tours, the song is accompanied by a playful video depicting the band disrupting a formal corporate networking event.

At the moment Walt Disco is in the midst of a large-scale European and UK tour, opening for OMD, and they plan to join the synth pop legends again for an extended North American tour this fall. It will include performances in cities such as NYC, Los Angeles, Boston, DC, Seattle, Portland, and Denver, among others.

[video] Priestgate – Some Things Never Change

Euphoric, hazy and big — that’s how “Some Things Never Change”, a new single by Priestgate sounds. This band is one of the brightest young talents on the UK underground dream pop/post-punk scene and should only get bigger in the coming years. Hopefully, they have an album (or an EP) planned for sometime soon or maybe even in 2023.

The single is released alongside the music video, shot & edited by Luke Hallet.
