[video] Jeremy Tuplin – Love Town

Back in May Jeremy Tuplin released his excellent fourth LP Orville’s Discotheque via Trapped Animal Records. Now he is sharing a new video for the sentimental earworm “Love Town” from it.

The animated visuals were created by Phil Vanderyken, a New Orleans-based artist and musician. It represents Love Town as a discotheque in the clouds and a character with a striking resemblance to Tuplin heading up to find it in a hot air balloon.

Already having released tracks “Sub” and “Build a Bridge”, Deeper share a new single “Tele”, all taken from their upcoming album Careful! which will be out September 8 on Sub Pop.

Deeper live in Prague ’21

More melodic than their previous songs, the new one sees the group replacing guitars with synthesizers and drums with samplers. Musicians actively progress with each release and demonstrate their talent and ability to create a sonic experience that resonates deeply (excuse the pun) with listeners. The song is paired with surreal visuals, directed and edited by Cameron Lowe.

Deeper also announced headline and festival dates in support of the upcoming LP, with North American shows from September 21 till October 22, and European/UK shows from October 31 till November 14.

Exciting new artist Re Teu (pronounced Ree-Too) demonstrates great skill in the debut release “Glas”.

Nottingham/London muli-instrumentalist confidently operates in multiple genres by mixing delicate folk textures and euphoric rock. He draws the listener in with the song’s dreamy and introspective sound that explodes to a cathartic climax by the end. Alongside the single itself, he has also shared a beautiful video for it, directed by Grace Edu.

On August 18 Boston post-hardcore band Fiddlehead will release Death Is Nothing To Us, their highly-anticipated third album (via Run For Cover Records).

The latest teaser from it (after “Sullenboy”) is “Sleepyhead”, a fast and punchy in-your-face cut that perfectly sets the tone for the album. It is unveiled alongside the accompanying video.

[video] Delmer Darion – White Dawn Fog (feat. Anna B Savage)

Following the release of their acclaimed debut Morning Pageants back in 2020, experimental electronic producer duo Delmer Darion announced a new record. Tall Vision-of-the-Voyage would be out September 15 via Practise Music.

Alongside the announcement, they have also shared a new single “White Down Fog”. It is a powerful, complex noise cut that can simultaneously evoke feelings of unease, melancholy, and introspection. It is beautifully complemented by Anna B Savage’s vocals.

In the hypnotic music video for the song, created by Oliver Jack from the band, a V-2 rocket is slowly unearthed among a strange lunar landscape.
