NY noise rock/post-punk band Russian Baths announced a new album titled Mirror, which will be out on June 14 via Good Eye Records.

Along with the news they are sharing a new single/video “Split”, an eerie and atmospheric number drawn from the landscape of post-truth in 2024, serving as a reminder that the past perpetually lingers and one’s position is very vulnerable to substitution.

Speaking about it, the duo shared: “People copy people. People are copies of people. People avoid their reflections. People are reflections of other people. People don’t look at people unless they really want to, even if you give them money”.

On April 12 Brooklyn art punk group BODEGA will release their new LP Our Brand Could Be Yr Life, which will be out on their new label home Chrysalis Records.

We have heard two songs out of it already and now the band continues their hot streak of singles with another new offering — “Cultural Consumer III”, which features the recurring character of their songs, a middle-class bohemian addicted to studying culture.

The song is released alongside the music video, directed by Luca Balser and shot by Hunter Zimny. It showcases the band navigating a lo-fi psychedelic rendition of New York City through rear projection and a blend of mixed media collage.

Minneapolis’ indie rock heroes Bad Bad Hats have followed up their recent hit “TPA” with another stellar cut “My Heart Your Heart”. Both songs are taken from their forthcoming self-titled album, set for release on April 12 via Don Giovanni Records.

Arriving alongside an official video, Kerry Alexander of the band shares the following about the track:

“The chorus of this song is actually something I wrote back in January 2018 when we were working on our second album, Lightning Round. I always liked it, but sometimes songs need you to go through years of new inspiration and trial and error before you’re ready to uncover their final form. Thankfully in April of 2021, a chord progression I was working on led me back to it. To have someone tell me, “When I die, I want you to have my CDs” would be the highest honor”.
