[ep] @ – Are You There God? It’s Me, @

With @’s latest EP Are You There God? It’s Me, @, we are blessed with a healthy dose of refreshingly distinctive and unique digital pop music. It is hard to be so stylishly weird, but Stone Filipczak and Victoria Rose manage it effortlessly, having produced five brilliant avant-pop jewels.

All rule books are thrown to the bin from the very beginning, with the duo staying unpredictable to the core and creating the instantly appealing darker electronic quest made for the lovers of adventurous yet playful music. A much-needed experimental fix for us all.

[album] Prince Rama – Rage in Peace

PR

August is usually supposed to be a quiet month, but it didn’t happen this year. A lot of great music was released, which made it impossible to highlight it all in a tiny blog post.

However, apart from all the new artists, we cannot ignore the sad fact that Prince Rama are no more. Earlier this month, the duo of sisters Nimai and Taraka Larson have announced the end of the band and released their final EP Rage in Peace (via Carpark Records).

It’s a magical collection of three songs, that is perfectly showing off the skills of a band that formed their own musical path and had an absolutely distinctive style.
