[album] Suburban Living – How to Be Human

SL

Originally expected for release back in May, Suburban Living from Philadelphia delayed their new record due to the global pandemic and now it is finally out via Egghunt Records, right in time for the end of summer melancholy.

Songwriter and band’s leader Wesley Bunch has a penchant for writing beautiful and dreamy tunes, which capture the feeling of nostalgia perfectly and How to Be Human is another flawless example of that.

The gloomy, thoughtful lyrics are well-paired together with engaging melodies, and although the album has that shoegazey and icy 80’s quality to it, it feels very modern, emotive and much-needed in current times.

Listen below and buy the LP on Bandcamp.

Balanced, hypnotic and soothing — the new track of Philadelphia-based dream pop outfit Suburban Living tells the story about what is hidden behind the main city streets with its floating synthesizers and beautiful, almost choral vocals.

The new record How To Be Human will be released on May 22 via Egghunt Records. Pre-order it on Bandcamp and support the band by purchasing this awesome new t-shirt.
