[song] Cosmic Strip – Another Day

London dream pop artist Cosmic Strip returns with the first new music in years and shares a single “Another Day”. Out today, it is a captivating and anthemic track with a strong dreamgaze nature that references many of the genre’s greats and adds a personal touch.

Lyrically, the song touches on the band’s founder Camella Agabalyan’s adolescent youth in Hastings, on which she explains: “The track is a celebration of the friendships I had living in Hastings. It remembers the good times, reflects on how people inevitably drift apart, and mourns those that we have lost along the way. The lyrics are me imagining what it would be like if I were no longer around, and about the memories that I hope we can hold onto”.

[song] Langkamer – Jenny

Ahead of the busy December full of shows, Bristol’s Langkamer share “Jenny”, a heartfelt and melancholic song that underlines the gentler side of their addictive slacker rock.

Speaking about the track, the band explain: “Jenny is a song about vulnerability and self-defence. About the walls that some people put up around themselves to try and stay safe. Some people have this veneer of bravado and distance, but it only serves to make them weaker and more vulnerable”.

[song] ladylike – Southbound

Brighton quartet ladylike shared their debut single “Southbound” today, and it is a gorgeous introduction and a clever combination of folk, shoegaze and psychedelia.

Very well-crafted, the track was created via a stream-of-consciousness approach to songwriting (as told by the band) to amazing results with beautiful vocals, warm instrumentals and a lot of heart put into the mix. It serves as the culmination of 18 months spent crafting their sound through consistent live gigging and it definitely shows. Hopefully, we will get some more soon!
