My Best Unbeaten Brother is a new South London-based trio featuring the critically lauded Ben and Adam Parker (Nosferatu D2 / Tempertwig / Superman Revenge Squad) and bassist Ben Fry.

The group debuted with “Slayer on a Sunny Day” in November on Joyzine’s 20 Years of Joy compilation. Now they are sharing the new cut titled “Time on Our Hands, Spider-Man” — a raw, emotional, and unapologetically authentic single. It would be a part of Pessimistic Pizza, the debut mini-album, set for release on June 28.

[live] Frog announce more US tour dates

After the success of GROG (out now via Audio Antihero / Tapewormies) and recent sellout shows in Manhattan and Brooklyn, New York duo Frog (brothers Danny & Steve Bateman) will be touring the North Eastern United States next month.

They kick off the tour on March 14th, by playing in Pennsylvania for the first time when they go to Johnny Brenda’s in Philadelphia.

Heading back to New York for March 15th, Frog will headline New York’s legendary Knitting Factory in Manhattan.

On March 16th, they’ll return to Massachusetts for the first time since 2019, making their debut in Somerville at Warehouse Xi.

After a number of quiet years, Frog’s live schedule is beginning to pick up and they’re even teasing a fourth “TBA” date of the tour for March 23. With the band’s popularity continuing to grow over the last few years, these shows represent the first chance fans outside of New York will have had to see them live.

Details on all of Frog’s upcoming dates can be found on Linktree / Songkick.

[song] Magana – Paul

Indie rock mastermind Jeni Magaña, who performs as simply Magana, follows up her previous trio of singles with another track “Paul”.

It’s an emotionally charged piece about grief, with Magana’s soft vocals and powerful instrumentation enhancing its introspective mood and ability to convey profound sorrow in a delicate yet impactful manner.

Teeth, her second album, will be out on March 25 through Audio Antihero Records & Colored Pencils.

[song] Magana – Beside You

Magana is the solo project of multi-instrumentalist Jeni Magaña, who has spent the last few years on the road as bassist for Mitski (from Jimmy Kimmel to Glastonbury Festival) and Lady Lamb. Teeth, her second album, will be out on March 25 (to coincide with the Worm Moon‘s peak illumination) through Audio Antihero Records & Colored Pencils.

“Beside You” from the album is already out, and it is a captivating track with the raw energy and emotional depth that listeners have come to cherish. Two more songs are out as well, and the LP is shaping up to be something truly exciting!

[song] CHUCK – Nothing Matters to Me Now

If you are searching for an indie rock anthem to soundtrack your upcoming months, look no further. “Nothing Matters to Me Now” from CHUCK (the project of Charles Griffin Gibson, an award-winning East Coast-raised American filmmaker living and working in Oslo) is the song for you — a fun and manic number that gets stuck in your head immediately.

Best played very loud, this single is a chaotic journey into the eclectic mind of a talented songwriter, and the lo-fi aesthetic adds a raw and authentic quality, enhancing the emotional impact of the composition. Brilliant stuff!
