[song] Bee Bee Sea – Memories of Another Life

Bee Bee Sea performing live at LOW-L FEST’23

Italian trio Bee Bee Sea put out their latest single “Time and Time” last month, and now we can also check out the B-side to it titled “Memories of Another Life” on streaming services. It is a gentler, more laidback song in contrast to the main track, with a distinctive melancholic mood.

Having recently toured Europe and the UK, the band has some tour dates left for the summer, with more to be announced soon. Make sure to catch them live, if you have a chance:

June 24 – Joshua Blues Club, Como, Italy
July 7 –  Festival del Suono Buono, Casola Valsenio, Italy
July 14 – Fermenti in Villa, Bologna, Italy
July 15 – Reality Bites Festival, Fucecchio, Italy
July 16 – Punk Rock Raduno, Bergamo, Italy

Last month Italian trio Bee Bee Sea returned with the single “Time and Time”, their first new music since 2020’s great Day Ripper. The song would be out next week on a limited edition pink 7″ vinyl via Wild Honey Records, backed with another track titled “Memories of Another Life”.

Today the group unveils a music video for the A-Side. Filmed and directed by Perth Png, it is a lo-fi visual gem that features the band performing, some rural landscapes and a lot of tyres.

[song] Bee Bee Sea – Time and Time

Bee Bee Sea haven’t released any music since 2020’s great Day Ripper, but just yesterday a new song titled “Time and Time” landed on streaming platforms. The track, written in the midst of the pandemic years, is loosely inspired by Richard Hell and the Voidoids’ song “Time”, from which the verse “only time can write a song that’s really real” is taken.

It is an electrifying and powerful rock song that immediately captures the listener’s attention and sees an Italian band shifting towards the fuzzy garage punk territory, with all the right elements such as a driving drumbeat, distorted guitar riffs and gritty vocals. It would also be out on a limited edition pink 7″ vinyl via Wild Honey Records, b/w another song “Memories of Another Life”.

The trio have already confirmed many live dates over the Spring and Summer, that will touch Spain, Italy and the UK, with more to be announced soon (more information can also be found on their Facebook).
