[video] The Horrors – More Than Life

Having already teased us with some great new singles, The Horrors have shared another new cut/video, “More Than Life”.

The song is a striking testament to the enduring allure of gothic rock and post-punk, combining the brooding introspection of its verses with an unforgettable, anthemic chorus that ignites a cathartic release.

The band explains: “We still needed a couple more songs for the album before going to LA to record at Yves’ studio, and we were in that insular part of the process where it feels like the outside world doesn’t exist. The song is basically about the question of what matters to you and by that point we were definitely clear on where we were heading”.

All released songs will be part of the forthcoming LP Night Life (set for release on March 21 through Fiction Records), the band’s sixth album and the first one with the updated lineup.

[ep] The Horrors – Against The Blade

Always ones to surprise their listeners, The Horrors are back with the new EP Against The Blade. It is their second release of the year after Lout (released back in March), and probably their most hard-hitting and experimental output yet.

The Horrors live in Prague’17

The album features 3 songs — the title track (that we have heard earlier), the smasher “Twisted Skin”, and an industrial techno monster “I Took A Deep Breath and I Kept My Mouth Shut”, their most different, impressive and absolutely bonkers song to date.

All tracks are complemented by masterfully crafted visuals, and EP is also available for purchase on limited edition green vinyl here.

The band will also play three shows in the UK soon, labeled as Metal Rain dates, on which the quintet would be supported by their favorite new outfits such as Giant Swan, Scalping, Mandy, Indiana, PC World and Proteus. Find more information regarding the concerts on their website.

After releasing a short but sharp as a knife EP Lout earlier this year, The Horrors are back with another one. It is titled Against The Blade and will be available on November 5 through Fiction and Wolf Tone (it is also available for pre-order on limited edition green vinyl here).

The title track is again a massive industrial ripper, and it goes together with fantastically crafted and absolutely disturbing visuals.

[song] The Horrors – Lout

As unpredictable as always, The Horrors return with the new single “Lout”, which is taken from the band’s upcoming eponymous EP, set for release on March 12 via Caroline International / Wolf Tone.

The track marks a new musical direction for the group, switching towards heavy and hard-hitting industrial rock side, and it will be very exciting and interesting to see how they will implement the great new sound into their live shows (when those are back).
