With a series of UK tour performances scheduled for this April, Norwich alt-pop duo PleasureInc. announce their debut EP Plastic People (out April 17).
Along with the news they are sharing a title track — an eclectic and vibrant single about harsher truths of young adult life, all wrapped up in catchy and danceable alternative disco pop.
Having teased us already with the singles “Currents”, “Vertigo”, and “Smokescreen”, Nisa unleashes another great new song/video “Dreamspeak”.
A true transformative journey through indie pop hooks and off-kilter electropop, the track is taken from Nisa’s forthcoming album Shapeshifting due out April 26 on Tender Loving Empire Records.
She shares the following about the song: “I once heard from someone that not being able to communicate in your dreams is a reflection of your waking life’s sense of not being heard. I thought about writing “Dreamspeak” as an undoing of this feeling, where my dream-self could confront me and give me my voice back”.
After the success of GROG (out now via Audio Antihero / Tapewormies) and recent sellout shows in Manhattan and Brooklyn, New York duo Frog (brothers Danny & Steve Bateman) will be touring the North Eastern United States next month.
They kick off the tour on March 14th, by playing in Pennsylvania for the first time when they go to Johnny Brenda’s in Philadelphia.
Heading back to New York for March 15th, Frog will headline New York’s legendary Knitting Factory in Manhattan.
On March 16th, they’ll return to Massachusetts for the first time since 2019, making their debut in Somerville at Warehouse Xi.
After a number of quiet years, Frog’s live schedule is beginning to pick up and they’re even teasing a fourth “TBA” date of the tour for March 23. With the band’s popularity continuing to grow over the last few years, these shows represent the first chance fans outside of New York will have had to see them live.
Details on all of Frog’s upcoming dates can be found on Linktree / Songkick.
Indie rock mastermind Jeni Magaña, who performs as simply Magana, follows up her previous trio of singles with another track “Paul”.
It’s an emotionally charged piece about grief, with Magana’s soft vocals and powerful instrumentation enhancing its introspective mood and ability to convey profound sorrow in a delicate yet impactful manner.
Teeth, her second album, will be out on March 25 through Audio Antihero Records & Colored Pencils.
On March 22 Anglo-Parisian quartet Sourface will release The Eternal Summer, their highly anticipated debut record, described as an eclectic 11-song sequence celebrating sunlight, abundance and positivity, while exploring the dangers of having such things stripped away from us.
We have heard someamazingsongs out of it already and now the four-piece continues their hot streak of singles with the new offering “Vin Rosé” — a quintessential example of their bombastic and maximalist approach to music. It is released alongside the accompanying animatic video, set within the comic book world the group created for the album.
