STRABE are alt-pop duo Angelica and Emmet, who certainly know how to create a genuine musical jewel. Their new single “All My Heart” is a catchy and upbeat gem of a song with the singer’s sweet vocals and some euphoric instrumental hooks that will stay in your head for hours after listening.
The song’s music video, directed by Tom Furse (The Horrors), features the band’s seaside performance in Margate replicated by a unique AI model. The result is stunning, with the video looking like a beautiful animated art painting.

One of the most hardworking bands on the scene, a Brooklyn-based synth-pop trio Nation of Language, announced their third album Strange Disciple which is set for release on September 15 via [PIAS] Recordings.
In addition to the record announcement, the band has also shared a new single titled “Weak In Your Light”. An opener for the record, it is a powerful slow burner, which masterfully encapsulates everything we love about this outfit.
Back in 2021, Brooklyn band Nation of Language released their excellent sophomore LP A Way Forward, and now they are following it up with a new single “Sole Obsession” — a captivating and catchy track that showcases the band’s unique blend of retro and modern sounds. Another great addition to their catalogue!

It looks like they are also gearing up to provide us with a new record this year, although no announcements have been made just yet. Here’s what Ian Devaney and Aidan Noell from the group say about the single:
“In simplest terms, ‘Sole Obsession’ is one about knowing when, or if, to give in or give up. Particularly, when to untie the knots we tie ourselves into when an infatuation sets in. So many of us have experienced an addictive feeling that constricts us further and further until, hopefully, there’s a moment of clarity that allows one to free themself from that particular compulsion. The title of our next album, Strange Disciple, is a lyric from ‘Sole Obsession’ which references a character of such a nature; one who finds themself an adherent to a subject that is probably not worth the devotion”.
The track is out with the beautiful music video, directed by John MacKay and shot in 16mm around Queens and Manhattan’s Fort Tryon Park.
Having created one the most inventive and interesting records of 2022 in the form of Tableau, The Orielles gave their fans another treat earlier this month — a brilliant remixes collection of tracks from the album.
It includes Manchester/Berlin duo Space Afrika rework of “Beam/s”, and two more re-editions, one from London-based DJ/producer Shy One on “The Room” and another one from Edinburgh-based producer Eyes of Others on “Darkened Corners”.

Joe Goddard (Hot Chip) has given “Across That Fine Line” from Nation of Language a new treatment, converting it from the fan-favorite anthemic single to a mesmerizing and synth-infused trip of a song.
The original track is taken from A Way Forward, a brilliant sophomore LP from the band, released in late 2021 via PIAS Recordings.
